The Rose Garden in Balboa Park is a beautiful little spot for a June wedding. Here's Kierstan arriving in style with her Dad...as the Groom awaits...
Kierstan loves flowers almost as much as I do! For her bouquet, she requested loads of fully open roses, the old-fashioned garden type, in sweet shades of pink. And by a miracle of nature I was still able to find gorgeous peonies even though it was almost July! The delicate greenery and touches of pearl made for a picture perfect bouquet.
Hanging votive candles and kissing balls made of roses set a romantic mood in the shady gazebo. The arch was adorned with twigs and flowers in an asymmetrical Victorian design.
Here are some photos of the reception, held at a private home in Valley Center.
A vase of garden roses graces the guestbook table,
and the entry was lined with the kissing balls hung from wrought iron shepherds hooks.

Flower-filled candelabras hung from trees and lit the tabletops.
A cupcake stand delighted guests in the gazebo which was garnished with twinkle lights and re-purposed ceremony flowers.
What a beautiful bride and a beautiful wedding! It was a special priviledge to work with Kierstan and her family, who have been dear friends for many years.
Congratulations Kierstan and Adrian!
