Romantic San Diego Wedding Flowers

Calee and Shaun

Photography by Rachel Watson
Calee is a sweet girl whom I have had the privilege of watching grow up.  She is also a talented vocalist,  and it was a joy to be involved in her wedding!  Calee and Shaun were married on a gorgeous day in San Diego, and we got to use some of the most beautiful flowers ever!  Her bouquet was made of peach and ivory garden roses and ranunculas, pink peonies, baby's breath, and white anemones, with touches of soft gray dusty miller, how romantic!

The ceremony took place in the San Diego Temple in La Jolla
Her bridesmaids and all the little girls carried bunches of fluffy baby's breath and the men wore ranunculas with dusty miller leaves. (and very cool cardigans)

At their back-yard reception, the beautiful entry arch was decorated with lots of twigs and boughs of stock, roses and anemones.  The walkway was lined with shepherd hooks and hanging baby breath pomanders that the little girls had held earlier.
Lots of special hand-made touches were everywhere, beautifully coordinated by sister, Kristina.

Antique fabric and doilies look so sweet under the special garden roses and simple vases, each table a little bit different.

More garden roses, larkspur and anemones decked the arch over the Italian Soda station, which was a very popular spot that night!

All my reception photos were taken before the party started, but I assure you, there were crowds of happy people dancing and celebrating into the night-- a very special event for a wonderful couple!

Happy Ever After to Calee and Shaun!

San Diego Wedding Flowers- La Jolla Wedding Bowl

La Jolla Wedding Bowl, Azul Restaurant
Kaitlyn and Andrew

The "Wedding Bowl" is a sweet little spot of lawn overlooking the La Jolla shoreline that's just right for a small, intimate ceremony, and perfect for Kaitlyn and Andrew's San Diego destination wedding. Attended by their closest family and friends, they enjoyed a picture-perfect wedding, thanks to the hard work and talent of aunt Valissa Middleton, who photographed their special day.
Kaitlyn chose an elegant all-white bouquet of luscious roses and pearl-studded stephanotis, and shared her flowers with her groom for a perfectly traditional boutonierre.
The bridesmaids carried three shades of pink roses with a sprinkling of stephanotis

Just a short walk up Prospect St. is the Azul restaurant, where the receptions was held.
Happy ever after to Kaitlyn and Andrew!

Summer Wedding Flowers- San Diego, CA

Stephen and Maria's Wedding, La Jolla, CA
Photography by Sharon Cox

I'm excited to share photos of Stephen and Maria's beautiful and unique summer wedding.  I hope readers will enjoy the vibrant colors and creative floral combinations .

In the early planning stages, Maria described her wedding colors as bright green and blue with burnished orange.  The mango colored calla lilies were a natural choice, and since she mentioned her love of gardenias and amaranth, I was able to combine her favorites along with hydrangea, spray roses and larkspur for a one-of-a-kind bridal bouquet.

After the ceremony at the LDS Temple in La Jolla, friends gathered at the groom's family home in Escondido for an evening reception.  The family "pozed" for photos before the festivities began.

Sisters are carrying pomanders of blue-green hydrangeas
Look at those great smiles! Notice the bronze decorative wire in the guy's boutonnieres.
(Keep an eye out for this beauty, she'll be the Bride in a future post--coming soon!)

At the entry to the reception, a floral candelabra lights the guestbook table.
Two styles of floral arrangements are used as table centers.  They are fun and whimsical, designed to bring a smile and perhaps even tease the appetite!

Even the children's tables are pretty!

And speaking of appetite, this was a great barbeque buffet provided by Uptown Events Catering.  I just added some fun colors with the tall fruit-filled glass trumpets of delphinium and bells of Ireland

Cute couple, beautiful setting, wonderful family celebration!!  So glad I got to join in!
