I'm excited to share photos of Stephen and Maria's beautiful and unique summer wedding.  I hope readers will enjoy the vibrant colors and creative floral combinations .

In the early planning stages, Maria described her wedding colors as bright green and blue with burnished orange.  The mango colored calla lilies were a natural choice, and since she mentioned her love of gardenias and amaranth, I was able to combine her favorites along with hydrangea, spray roses and larkspur for a one-of-a-kind bridal bouquet.

After the ceremony at the LDS Temple in La Jolla, friends gathered at the groom's family home in Escondido for an evening reception.  The family "pozed" for photos before the festivities began.

Look at those great smiles! Notice the bronze decorative wire in the guy's boutonnieres.

At the entry to the reception, a floral candelabra lights the guestbook table.
 Two styles of floral arrangements are used as table centers.  They are fun and whimsical, designed to bring a smile and perhaps even tease the appetite! 

Even the children's tables are pretty!

And speaking of appetite, this was a great barbeque buffet provided by Uptown Events Catering.  I just added some fun colors with the tall fruit-filled glass trumpets of delphinium and bells of Ireland

 

Cute couple, beautiful setting, wonderful family celebration!!  So glad I got to join in!

Tracy and Jensen's Wedding, La Jolla CA

It's definitely time to catch up on my Wedding Blog, so Tracy and Jensen's wedding is a great place to start!  They were married in the beautiful San Diego Temple on a crisp October day.   Pink was her color of choice for the day, and she complimented it beautifully with olive green.

 Tracy's absolute favorite flower is lilies, so we chose a happy mix in shades of pink for a beautiful oversized bouquet.  We also added stephanotis, lily grass and ferns.

I absolutely love Tracy's dress!!   Here's a moment with her mother, who's wearing a corsage of small white roses.

The bridesmaids carried lily bouquets in pretty silver handles, the men's bouts are hot pink bouvardia

At a casual evening reception, the bridesmaid bouquets were displayed in pretty vases at the guestbook table and at the buffet.  A sweetheart table was setup in front of the gazebo which sparkled with white lights and hanging crystal candelabras

Cubes of soft green hydrangeas and pink roses, or bowls of floating lilies were the table centers.

Brittany and Scott's Wedding, San Diego CA

For this adorable couple's December wedding, we used gorgeous shades of plum, burgundy, and green, with a classic black and white background.  The overall feel is quite elegant and traditional, but with plenty of modern elements to keep it fresh and fun!

 Brittany's bouquet includes callas, roses, spider mums and pearl-centered stephanotis and is wrapped in plum-colored silk.

 

               

  Here is little sister with her pomander made of green hydrangeas, roses and kermit mums, and the bridesmaids with their bouquets.

The parents are wearing cymbidium orchids. This is the bride's mom and dad.  I loved working with Debbie, she has such wonderful taste and was excited to have everything look just right in their beautiful home, where the reception was held.

For the reception, plum calla lilies, orchids and roses, arranged with fresh green artichokes were placed beside the engagement photo at the entry table...

...and guests were welcomed by colorful hydrangea and rose wreaths which were hung on the stone pillars and in the windows along the patio.  In the foyer, these wonderful wedding dresses, worn by the bride's mother, grandmother, and the groom's mother were displayed.  A really amazing idea and such a beautiful family remembrance!

Above the buffet table hung three chandeliers with crystals and pave' roses.

A twist of lime adds interest to the guest table centerpieces, and in case you're wondering- on the right is a bird's-eye view of the arrangement floating in the jacuzzi!

It must be getting late- they're getting a little silly!

It was such an honor to be involved in planning for Brittany and Scott's wedding day!  I love the layers of rich colors and thought it all turned out beautifully.  And I know they are going to have a very happy life together!
