Gold and Turquoise Wedding Flowers

Stephanie & Nathan's Wedding, Escondido

Sometimes you just know!  This darling bride walks in your door, and you just know...this is going to be fun!!  And-- she's got a crisp new color combination that you've never tried before and that makes it even more exciting!

Stephanie's colors are Aqua and Mustard (she brought me paint chips)  with plenty of ivory-white to keep it fresh.  We're going for a very lighthearted, slightly retro feel for a casual summer celebration.  The wedding ceremony will be at the San Diego Temple, followed by a backyard, open-house style reception party.  Love the tea-length dress and parasol!
So here we are mid-setup in the back yard.  I think the chinese lanterns are great!  The groom's mother also sewed table runners out of several patterned fabrics that Stephanie and her mom found, which really works in making the tables colorful and attractive, since they won't have place settings.
One of my fun finds were these adorable resin margarita glasses in just the right color!  I love how they add a whimsical shape to the centerpieces.  Don't overlook those bright yellow "billyballs" (crespedia) which definitely add to the fun!  There's also hydrangea and that pretty yellow butterfly bush.

Sisters!
 and here's the bride's family

I placed aqua crystals in the center of some of the spider mums to add a bit of bling to the bridesmaid's bouquets.
And finally, the Bride's bouquet-- it has lots of  spikey spider mums which Stephanie loved the look of,  as well as ivory hydrangeas, orchids, and huge creamy mustard yellow roses (they're so perfect, aren't they?) , topped off with lots of cheerful crespedia.

Well, there you go!  Sweet, simple and stylish!  And such a refreshing color palette for a summer wedding.

Thank you Stephanie and Nathan for letting me be a part of your big day!
