Wedding Flowers, Ranch House at Del Sur

Favorite San Diego Wedding Flowers: Big Blush Peonies!

Corey and Brad's Summer Wedding

Wedding Venue: The Ranch House at Del Sur

Yes, everyone loves peonies, including this stylish bride and groom, who chose a palette of blush and beige for their wedding flowers, so we at Floral Occasions enjoyed the luxury of using our favorites! Special thanks to Gabriel Conover Photography for these great photos!
Corey's bridal bouquet is filled with big blush peonies, English garden roses and spray roses, the popular Quicksand beige roses, with sweet buds of lisianthus and a bit of pretty greenery. The Groom's bout is made of English garden spray roses and buds, with just a simple wrap around the  stems. Natural and elegant!

Corey's bouquet is constructed in a layered effect so it looks amazing from every angle. Her bridesmaids carry sweet and simple posies.  A bride should always be surrounded by her best girls on such a special day!

The Ranch House at Del Sur is lush and green, even on this bright summer day. We placed sprays of fresh flowers in an easy arrangement around the arch, and hung jars of eucalyptus greenery and roses (which will be re-used as centerpieces)  from shepherd hooks along the petal-strewn aisle for a completely romantic effect!
And here are just a few photos of the beautiful ceremony...

Wishing this super sweet couple the best of everything, and thank you!

Pretty in Pink Wedding at the Bali Ha'i San Diego

Bali Ha'i Wedding, San Diego

Amanda and Jon

Fabulous Photography! by WeHeartPhotography

Here's to another gorgeous wedding at the Bali Ha'i in San Diego. This venue is incredible, but it really is amazing how the flowers can completely change the overall feel of an event.  This romantic, pretty in pale pink wedding has a very different look than the bright tropical schemes we often do here.
Amanda and Jon, our stunning bride and groom, requested a palette of soft ivory, blush and pink with bits of minty green, which made for an elegant seaside affair with a pretty garden setting.

Sweet and dreamy, this very feminine bouquet boasts beautiful garden roses, fluffy white peonies, and blush hydrangea.

The groom's look is classic with this gorgeous bout made of the sweetest small blush roses. I left the stems uncovered for a clean, natural look.

Crystals and orchids strung from the arch create a lovely backdrop for the ceremony, with wispy corner sprays of roses on the bamboo arch, and tiny blush and white orchids scattered in the aisle.

Amanda and her eight lovely bridesmaids!

In the reception room, we added some deeper pink tones and touches of gold. Floating candles and submerged orchids were grouped on some tables, and on others, tall glass trumpets of beautiful roses and pink hydrangea with trailing white orchids

Flowers from the wedding arch were quickly customized for use on the sweetheart table, and a lite scattering of blooms adorned the cake.

Such a beautiful couple! Thanks again to We Heart Photography for the wonderful event photos.
Wishing Amanda and Jon a lifetime of happiness!

Destination Wedding: Torrey Pines, San Diego

"Rustic Glam" Wedding at Torrey Pines Lodge

Michael and Jennifer

I'm so happy to share a few photos of this magical wedding day at the beautiful Torrey Pines Lodge.  After many months of emails and planning, the day turned out beautifully for this Chicago couple who came to beautiful San Diego to exchange their wedding vows.  Jenn chose for her colors ivory, blush and tan, and a pale blue-green, and requested lots of twigs and branches with touches of crystal and bling!  She started out thinking she wanted a shabby-chic look with her soft colors, but fell in love with the steel grays and rustic wood tones too, so we named it "Rustic Glam"!

The ceremony began with a Scottish bagpiper leading the way for the Bride and her father.  It definitely was something special that Jenn arranged as a surprise for Michael!  A wonderful way to begin the ceremony, and the beautiful surroundings nearly made us think we were in Scotland! The wedding backdrop, covered with twigs, and beautiful flowers was large and open to the gorgeous view behind! You can see across the Torrey Pines Golf Course all the way to the Pacific ocean!

The open ironwork backdrop is covered with curly willow, eucalyptus, white larkspur, dahlias and English garden roses, so romantic!
Jenn's bouquet was a fragrant mix of ivory vendella and English garden roses, white lisianthus, hydrangea, and large white dahlias with crystal jeweled centers.  She has a little "something blue" in her hankie and a special family brooch pinned to her bouquet.

Cocktail hour was held on the lawn where we grouped pretty colored bottles of flowers around the  low relaxed seating areas.

Inside the reception room, beautifully calligraphed cards held in crystal ornaments directed the guests to the gorgeous tables, set with steel gray ribbon rose linens and glass chargers.  The tall trumpetvases were filled with ivory hydrangea, pale mauve and sand-colored roses, stock and eucalyptus leaf, and from them hung sparkling crystals and candles.  Below are bowls of roses and silver mercury votives tucked among the manzanita branches.

In a large room, I always suggest using more than one style of centerpiece arrangements. On alternate guest tables were distressed silver boxes overflowing with roses, hydrangea, stock and eucalyptus, and large manzanita branches, hung with crystals and votives.

The elegant cake was covered in rice paper petals and garnished with real roses and hydrangeas, and stood on a custom made and engraved crate.
It's always an honor to be involved in such a beautiful event!
Thank you, Jenn and Michael, may you live in love and joy always!
