Yes, everyone loves peonies, including this stylish bride and groom, who chose a palette of blush and beige for their wedding flowers, so we at Floral Occasions enjoyed the luxury of using our favorites! Special thanks to Gabriel Conover Photography for these great photos!  

Corey's bridal bouquet is filled with big blush peonies, English garden roses and spray roses, the popular Quicksand beige roses, with sweet buds of lisianthus and a bit of pretty greenery. The Groom's bout is made of English garden spray roses and buds, with just a simple wrap around the  stems. Natural and elegant!

Corey's bouquet is constructed in a layered effect so it looks amazing from every angle. Her bridesmaids carry sweet and simple posies.  A bride should always be surrounded by her best girls on such a special day!

The Ranch House at Del Sur is lush and green, even on this bright summer day. We placed sprays of fresh flowers in an easy arrangement around the arch, and hung jars of eucalyptus greenery and roses (which will be re-used as centerpieces)  from shepherd hooks along the petal-strewn aisle for a completely romantic effect!

Today we're looking back on a favorite San Diego wedding at the Dana Hotel in Mission Bay.  Sara and Rei chose a perfect day for their wedding at this stunning beach side venue so reflective of San Diego and of their own relaxed and beautiful style!  Here is Sara enjoying a moment of anticipation.  Her bouquet is a fresh blend of green cymbidium orchids and ivory roses, hydrangea, mums and dahlias, wrapped in satin and pearls.

The men's bouts are mini cymbidiums tucked into rods of equistem, with loops of beargrass and a small white orchid added to the groom's.  And I love the look on Sara's face when she see's her man!  These two are adorable!

The ceremony was held right on the edge of the water under the iconic palm trees of The Dana.  The bamboo arch is decorated with corner sprays of plum and green orchids and palm fronds for a breezy tropical feel, and the path is strewn with orchid blossoms.

Corsages for the mothers are made with large green cymbidium with ivory ribbon.

Inside the ballroom, there were tall showy centerpieces in trumpet vases of orchids, bells of Ireland, and palms, wrapped in ti leaf, and low glass cubes of orchids, stock, carnation, and roses, accented with curls of monkeytail fern fronds. All were lit from within with submersible lights, and surrounded with a few other touches of hydrangea, submeged orchids, and spider mums.

The cake was also adorned with a generous scattering of orchids

Today's share is a simple and stylish beach wedding in beautiful San Diego!  I had the honor of working with Allie and her mother, Jill, who is the owner and designer at Cute Cakes Bakery in Escondido, a bakery I recommend almost exclusively to my brides for their wedding cakes, because of the high quality of their work!

This wedding was one of love, warmth and joy all the way through!  Held at the ZLAC Rowing Club on Mission Bay, Allie and Jonathan chose fresh green and white for their flowers.  Her words were: "Simple, Elegant, and Natural".

White calla lilies were the elegant choice for boutonnieres and bouquets, combined with budding curly willow to add shape and movement.  I loved the way the groom's bout turned out, and the very special thing about the bride's bouquet is that it was wrapped in the beautiful lace sleeve of her mother's wedding dress!!  I just love getting to do sweet personal touches like this!

Great photos by Pam at Sweet Life!  The bridesmaids bouquets were wrapped simply in green and white satin and filled out with loops of lily grass.

A spray of greenery and white orchids accented the arch, and was designed for double-duty on the sweetheart table after the ceremony.  I loved the scriptures posted along the aisle!

Such a beautiful day for a beach wedding, and I was so happy to be a part of it.
